Giants own Olympic Stars

Mansfield Giants have their very own Olympic stars within the club.  Joanne Richards the clubs Volunteer Development Officer and womens player is currently woking at the basketball arena as the Basketball Athletes Manager, where she is looking after the welfare and support of the many basketball athletes at the Olympics.

Another Giants womens player Alison Bridge is also at the Olym,pics but is working on the Sailing element of the competitions down in Weymouth.  Fellow ex-Giants player and still a table official for the club Sarah Wood, is playing a vital role, as she is a volunteer statistician for basketball.

Many of the Giants table officials that you see at the mens and womens games are also officiating at the Olympics too.

The club wish all involved good luck on this amazing experience and hope they enjoy there time at this once in a lifetime opportunity.

Giants Womens trials

                              

Manfield Giants womens team are preparing for the new 2012-2013 season and have an open session for all past, current and new recruits to attend.  The session is on Wednesday 5th September at Oaktree L.C, Mansfield, NG18 3RT, 6.30-8.30pm, cost £4.

The session will be open to all females looking at playing in EBL Division Two North team and all information on the club, fixtures and the team will be available on the night.

Giants summer of fun

Mansfield Giants are hosting a number of turn up and play summer day camps over the next coming weeks.  Sessions are every thursday at Samworth Church Academy 10-3pm, cost just £8.  The sessions are available to all players both boys and girls aged 8-18 years of age.  the sessions will be coached by a number of Giants senior mens player and coaches.

Giants launch new merchandise & training kit supplierKitlocker

Mansfield Giants would like to annouce the new partnership with Kitlocker.com, the team kit and leisure wear suppliers, that are to supply the Giants merchandise and training kits that are available to buy for the 2012-2013 season. 

The new training kits will be available during the summer camp at samworth this coming week and order forms available for merchandise to be bought.  The items can be bought via the clubs order forms, or ordered online via the clubs new online shop and delivered to their door.  (please note that any items ordered this way will be charged delivery and delivery time 3-5 weeks, training kits are only available via ordering through the club).

Christmas Raffle 17th December

Giants Christmas Raffle tickets are now out and can be collected from your team coach or manager. Tickets are £1 and need to be returned to your coach or a Giants official before the draw takes place (all tickets should have the name and contact details written on the reverse). The draw will be made on Sat 17th December 2011 at the Giants men’s home game against Birmingham Mets at 6pm. Prior to the game, there will be a Festive Wheelchair Camp on with a Christmas buffet for Giants junior members to attend, cost is still to be confirmed.
